Johannes Krahl, born in 1999, received his fundamental musical education from the age of 5 as a piano student at the Bautzen music school with Oksana Weingardt-Schön. Since 2010 he got organ lessons (Matthias Pfund, Lucas Pohle, Michael Vetter) and took part in masterclasses i. a. with Martin Sander (Detmold), Daniel Roth (Paris), Erwan le Prado (Caen), Jaroslav Tůma (Prague), Hans Davidsson (Gothenburg) and David Franke (Freiburg). As an organist himself he performed at significant instruments with varied repertoire.
Johannes Krahl is a prizewinner of a number of national and international junior competitions: at 2nd organ festival Sangerhausen in 2014 he won the 1st prize at the Bach competition for young organists. In 2017 he was awarded with another first price at the 8th International Silbermann competition Freiberg as the youngest participant and prizewinner ever. At the 2018 Northern Ireland International Organ Competition he achieved another first prize.
Johannes Krahl is currently studying at the University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy"Church Music and Organ with Prof. Martin Schmeding and Prof. Daniel Beilschmidt.
