Johannes Krahl, born in 1999, received his early music education from the age of 5 as a piano student. He began learning the organ in 2010 and has taken part in masterclasses with, among others, Martin Sander (Detmold), Tomasz Adam Nowak (Detmold), David Franke (Freiburg), Daniel Roth (Paris), Erwan le Prado (Caen), Jaroslav Tůma (Prag), Hans Davidsson (Göteborg), Ben van Oosten (Rotterdam) und Massaki Suzuki (Japan).
He has performed a varied repertoire on many significant instruments.
Johannes Krahl was awarded with first prizes at the 8th International Silbermann competition Freiberg 2017, the 8th Northern Ireland International Organ Competition Armagh 2018, the 3rd International Odoyevski Organ Competition Moscow 2019 and the 22nd International Competition for the Bach prize Wiesbaden 2020.
Since October 2018 Johannes Krahl is studying Church Music and Organ at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig with Martin Schmeding and Thomas Lennartz.
